At eTail Connect Autumn, we spoke to Besa Terholli, Client Engagement at eClerx, to see why they chose to sponsor.
Besa: We have sponsored eTail Connect at Twickenham in the past. The reason we chose to sponsor this year is 100% because of the meetings. The communication with the team before also was very positive, and we were given lots of information very early on, so the decision for us to be here was very easy.
I showed my team and said “These are the people that are coming, here's the agenda. Let's do it" and that was it.
Besa: The lunch was fantastic, and the networking session’s themselves have been amazing. Everyone was all grouped together, talking about things other than work, which is perfect.
All the attendees were the exact type of people we wanted to talk to, including new business and clients that are already existing within our portfolio. It was interesting to see our clientele, but also getting to talk to people within different departments is good too.
Besa: We’ve had eight 1-1 meetings, as well as two extra meetings after our speaking session. We expect a lot of follow ups after the event, sharing demos of our work and different services we offer.
It would usually take a very long time to get these meetings, there would be a lot of back and forth on emails to try and get people enticed. But this is in-person, to the point, they come here with an agenda and a priority that they want to solve, and we come here knowing how to solve it. Everyone knows what they're doing and why they're here, which just makes everything so much easier.
Besa: We did a session on content and personalisation, which are topics everyone has been talking about whilst here. We also had people follow up after, to ask us more about our presentation and if we can send the deck over. On top of that as well, we got two new clients come in and say, we want to talk to you, which was fantastic.
I also particularly enjoyed the session by Vicky who spoke about women in tech. It was interesting to see her stats and figures about women moving up in corporate tech world.
Besa: Yes, absolutely, we would definitely be interested in sponsoring again.
Next year we'd be looking at new clientele and what's changed in the industry, just trying to make sure that we are with the times and not just talking about the same thing. It will definitely be important for eClerx to be here in the future.
