Why did you choose to sponsor eTail Connect Autumn in 2023?

Mike: We have sponsored eTail Connect before and we rebooked because of the quality of the delegates that attend. They’re consistently good at every event we’ve attended, they’re the right level of job title and from the biggest brands. The organisation is always great as well and the venue is always very nice.

Have you managed to attend any of the sessions on offer?

Mike: Sadly not, we’ve been so busy with meetings we haven’t been able to attend any, but we’ve already booked a keynote session for next year. We feel that it’s a great opportunity to showcase our expertise with an audience who are engaging and listening. We’ve really enjoyed how the content was presented and run in the past and that’s been our main motivator to book on next year.

How many 1-1 meetings have you had so far?

Mike: We’ve had 10 meetings so far with two more set up tomorrow morning, and we have already had requests for follow-ups. The attendee profiling information was a great help with these meetings, it’s always good to know the delegate’s responsibilities and the projects that they’re prioritizing for the next 12 to 24 months. The great thing about these meetings is that everyone is here to create relationships, meet people and to have meaningful conversations.

To get meetings of this calibre and quality could take up to a year to set up and organise. But to be able to have 30-minute face to face meetings with these attendees, it’s great and help to build relationships.

Would you say this event could have a positive impact on your 2024 business goals and would you say it’s important to sponsor eTail Connect?

Mike: We are positive that eTail Connect will help us reach business goals going into 2024. I’d say it’s extremely important for us to sponsor. It’s becoming harder to create relationships and to reach out to brands because they’re inundated with people emailing them and wasting their time, so to be able to meet face to face and create relationships is the way forward.

We feel it’s so important to sponsor in the future, so much so that we’ve already booked onto all the events in 2024; Connect Spring, Connect Autumn and Retail CIO Connect. eTail Connect is always seamless and there are never any problems, 10 out of 10 for organisation!
